The UAE’s MGX joined US tech leaders OpenAI, Oracle and SoftBank in early 2025 to launch Stargate, an initiative to build advanced AI infrastructure in the US. With a planned $500 billion investment over four years, Stargate aims to meet the surging demand for the computing power needed for AI advancements.
An initial $100 billion is already allocated to projects nationwide, including a major data center in Abilene, Texas. Stargate is expected to create 100,000 American jobs.
