G42, OpenAI, Oracle, NVIDIA, SoftBank and Cisco have partnered to build Stargate UAE, a 1GW AI compute cluster in Abu Dhabi. With 200MW set to go live in 2026, Stargate UAE is expected to provide AI capacity across a 2,000-mile radius, reaching up to half the world’s population. Accessible to US hyperscalers, Stargate UAE will power innovation across sectors like healthcare, energy, finance and advanced research.
Why this Matters
Stargate UAE, part of the UAE-US 5GW AI Campus in Abu Dhabi, creates a foundation for safe, secure and scalable compute for US companies in the UAE. The campus is part of the larger Stargate initiative which promotes substantial bilateral investment in data center infrastructure between the UAE and US, developing American compute and supporting US tech jobs.
