The UAE's Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) is partnering with SpaceX to launch the Middle East’s most advanced satellites into orbit. Built at MBRSC, these satellites are shipped to the US and launched aboard the Texas-based aerospace and AI firm’s SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. With multiple successful launches in 2025 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, the satellites are performing advanced mapping and, as part of a United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs program, conducting scientific tests for various countries.
Why This Matters
Commercial partnerships with leading US commercial space companies like SpaceX are driving a new era of private sector spaceflight between the UAE and US. Each satellite launch supports American aerospace jobs and strengthens the US space industry, while advancing critical research and technology development. These joint missions deepen bilateral ties and position the UAE and US at the forefront of the rapidly evolving global space economy.
