1 big thing: UAE Unveils $1.4 Trillion, 10-Year US Investment Framework

After a meeting between President Donald Trump and UAE National Security Adviser Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed, the UAE committed to a 10‑year, $1.4T investment framework in the United States. This initiative aims to boost UAE investments across AI, semiconductors, energy and manufacturing.

Among the planned projects is a $25B initiative by ADQ and Energy Capital Partners for energy infrastructure and data centers and a commitment from ADNOC’s XRG to invest in Texas’s NextDecade LNG export facility. The agreement also includes Emirates Global Aluminium’s planned investment in the first new US aluminum smelter in over 35 years.

  • By spanning AI, semiconductors, energy and manufacturing, the initiative strengthens critical sectors central to America’s growth and resilience.
  • The commitment demonstrates the UAE’s intent to align closely with US economic and technology leadership, while reinforcing collaboration on AI governance and access.
