AI-Powered Satellite Innovation
‍Space42 is developing AI-enhanced satellite systems for Earth observation, precision mapping and environmental monitoring. These technologies play a vital role in tracking climate change, improving disaster response and supporting sustainable development. In February 2025, Space42 signed a strategic joint venture with EDGE Group’s FADA to create a sovereign Earth Observation ecosystem, reinforcing the UAE’s capabilities in space-based intelligence.

Advancing Secure Space Communications
Space42 is at the forefront of satellite communication, ensuring secure and reliable connectivity for both government and commercial applications. In December 2024, Space42 secured a $5.1 billion contract with the UAE government to provide critical satellite communication services through 2043. The deal underscores Space42's long-term role in the nation’s space infrastructure.

The UAE’s Role in NASA’s Lunar Missions
The UAE has partnered with NASA for the Gateway Lunar Station, providing both crew members and an airlock module through the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC). While Space42 is not directly involved in this initiative, its advancements in satellite technology and geospatial intelligence support the UAE’s broader space exploration ambitions.
