New Oracle Data Centers in the UAE to Meet Rising AI Demands

Oracle is building more data centers in the UAE. The Austin-based company announced it has brought new facilities online over the past six months, with additional capacity planned in the next six in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, driven by surging demand for compute across the region. Oracle, which opened its first UAE data center in 2019 in partnership with etisalat, currently operates two cloud regions in the country, working closely with G42, Core42 and the Abu Dhabi government to accelerate cloud adoption and sovereign AI development.

Why This Matters

Hardened physical infrastructure and diversified supply chains ensure American tech firms can grow with confidence in the UAE despite regional disruptions — and Oracle's continued expansion is proof of that. Through deliberate investments in cloud capacity, trusted partnerships and a secure environment that protects US technology interests, the UAE gives US companies the continuity they need to keep scaling in the region.

“I can tell you that we're growing the number of data centres we have in the UAE and Saudi…The demand is huge, so that's what's driving it.” — Cormac Watters, Executive Vice President of Applications, Oracle Europe, Middle East and Africa
