The UAE's Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) has granted SpaceX’s Starlink a 10-year General Space Services License to establish and operate a public satellite communications network across the country. The license adds a space-based connectivity layer to the UAE's existing fiber-optic and 5G infrastructure and extends connectivity to individuals, businesses, government entities and the maritime and aviation sectors. It also positions Starlink to support critical industries including energy, logistics, maritime and emergency response sectors.
