Transportation & Aviation
The UAE is a premier global aviation and transportation hub, anchored by world-class infrastructure and two leading international airlines, Etihad and Emirates. Major airports and an advanced aviation network connect the country to global markets, with Dubai located within an eight-hour flight of 80% of the world’s population. UAE airlines are major customers of American aerospace manufacturers Boeing and GE, placing $65.5 billion in Boeing orders in 2025 alone, and are advancing air mobility innovation alongside US partners like Joby Aviation and Archer Aviation.

Etihad Airways: Etihad Airways is the national airline of the UAE, headquartered in Abu Dhabi. It operates one of the world’s most advanced fleets, featuring the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and serves over 100 destinations worldwide. Etihad offers nonstop flights to major US hubs such as New York City, Chicago and Washington D.C., connecting the UAE to key global markets and supporting the country’s tourism and trade sectors.

Emirates: Emirates is the world’s largest international airline and a global leader in long-haul travel. Based in Dubai, it operates the largest fleet of American-made Boeing 777s and connects passengers to over 140 destinations worldwide, including nonstop flights to 12 major US cities. Emirates works closely with leading US aviation manufacturers and, in 2025, placed a $38 billion order for 65 additional Boeing 777X aircraft. The airline is also partnering with US tech firms like OpenAI to integrate AI efficiencies into its operations.
